First, let me say I don't know squat about governors, but I'd like to learn. The governor on the left is what the M came with, and it's giving me problems. Responds slowly to rev up, responds slowly to slow down, and will not satisfactorily idle down no matter what I do to the carb.
So just out of curiosity I'm going to drop the spare in to see if there is any difference. If you notice it has a shorter spring lever, and the spring itself is a lot different from what I'm use to seeing. So what do I have here? I'm guessing an earlier version. Surely not aftermarket. What say ye?
The governor is the last major stumbling block I have before I can wind up this project.
