My blade is 8' wide by 42" high. I took the bucket off my Freeman/BushHog loader, started putting pieces where I wanted them and welded a frame that braces between the loader frame and the back of the blade. The entire thing mounts with two pins through the holes in the end of the loader arms, and one big bolt through the top center of the blade which connects back to the crossmember on the loader arms. This keeps the blade from tipping forward when the lower part hits anything. I've used it on my M and SM. I prefer the SM because it has power steering and faster gear ratios in 3rd and 4th. Either tractor will push an incredible amount of snow without any chains. Using the loader frame for a mount allows me to raise and lower it easily, plus raising it ALL the way up reduces the % of weight on the front wheels and allows the tractor to (usually) back out of wherever I get it stuck. My blade is flat, with no provision to angle it to the sides. That's NOT the way to build one unless you're in a big hurry. I'm presently scheming to put a V-blade on the loader frame, and then it should go through about anything.

The garden was already sprouting when we hooked up the mid-mount shovel cultivators to the Pony. The seed bed was soft enough that the rear end would spin and slowly work its way to the downhill side of the gardens slight incline. From this, we learned our lesson sinc
