I used a bearing separator from a Harbor Freight puller set and a large 2/3 jaw puller I got from Tractor Supply. A crescent wrench was used to keep the puller from moving. The 5/8"-13 bolt threaded into the crankshaft has a center drilled in the head for the puller bolt to seat into. I used some rubber from a bad tube as a washer to aid with twisting, but not sure it helped. Came off hard but didn't break.
