What screen are you cleaning. The filter bypass screen or the lube pump pickup screen. The one that will give you trouble is the screen on the lube pump inside the transmission. If your oil is getting hot it is because you are running under high pressure and has nothing to do with air. The system is self bleeding except for the brakes as they are a dead end. You need to put a gauge in to see what pressure you are running when all valves are in neutral. It should only be regulated pressure which is less than 300 psi at the pump discharge .
