The reverse rotation/reduction gear boxes make the Cubs useful for running augers, bale conveyors, etc. that take low HP. Same Box even fits on CUB CADETS. Several frequent contributors to ihcubcadet.com have them on their gear drive Cub Cadets even. You can't run a round bale hay baler or something like that with them but they are useful.
