The 230 uses a brass pilot bushing, it's located in the back of the crankshaft. From what I have seen lately these bushings are causing a lot of the clutch failure to release problems. A 9 inch Rockford clutch kit from Hy-capacity includes new bushing, release brg, pressure plate and clutch disk for about $225. I would have the flywheel resurfaced and the spec for the step is 1.188. My e-mail is open if I can help.
