I did my SA awhile back and this is how to do it in a press. Put a bearing separator, some call it a bearing puller, between the gear and the bearing. Support the bearing separator in the press with the long end of the shaft hanging down. Press off the gear making sure not to loose the woodruff key. When pressing the new gear back on, pay careful attention to get it seated just like the old one so the shims on the belt pulley drive still give the right adjustment. When you get it all back together, remove the pipe plug on the belt pulley housing on the top right and inspect the clearance. The two bevel gears should not be bound up or tight nor too loose. While looking in the hole rock the belt pto shaft back and forth and make sure there is a little slop. If you press the gear back to it's original placement on the shaft and use the same shims, it should be ok. While your at it, it's a good time to check the bearing #25 and replace it if worn.
