I purchased a IH 595 tractor that acted like the clutch was worn out. You had a long let out before it caught and then if you were pulling a moderate load you could feel it slipping. When I replaced the clutch and pressure plate, but the one I took out didn't look all that bad. Put the new one in and it acted the same way as the old one. It almost seems like the clamping force on the clutch/pressure plate isn't enough to keep it from slipping.
