One of the best tractors I have ever owned. Pulled a round baler with mine for years. Used it for some field work , planter ,disc. Mine has duals on it ,no fluid , pulling a 22 ft. JD disc in low 3rd or 4th. If you can find a good one you will like it. A new TA job taking it to a shop runs around $1,500.00 to $ 2,000.00. All the IH tractors over 100 HP only had the 1000 PTO but most were changed to dual shafts. All PTO units from a 706 thru 1486 will interchange. A rebuilt unit runs around $800.00. I gave $12,000.00 for my 1486 several years ago.
