I agree with the guys who think it could be 180 out. I don't know much about an H but, on the smaller tractors (A,B,BN,C etc)the distributer turns 1/2 engine rpm. That is, 1/2 turn for every revolution of the crankshaft. I worked on a magneto and put it back and could not get it to run. Scratched my head for 2 days. I marked it when it came off and put it back exactly right- I thought. I got my daughter to watch the rotor while I cranked and discovered the 2 to 1 ratio. When I turned it 180, it started right off. I'd give it a try.
