On our 656(row crop) the hydraulic dipstick is on the left side of the platform behind the clutch pedal.
Also, ours very frequently gets that whine like a dry powersteering pump on a car and the hydraulics quit working. I pull the cover off the filter on the left side and clean the round round screen part of the bypass filter and it's good to go again.
