I have seen this done with an H and an M. The fast hitch used on the H came off a 300 and the one on the M came off a 560. In both cases they took a half inch plate and cut it to fit around the axle housing and was mounted with the axle housing bolts and the hitch mounting bolts. I don't think that I would put much of a load on it like you would on a 300 or a 400.
