That is some tough soil to sample. It sticks to the probe different than WI soil. Neither one was real easy last summer.
You may be able to pull 2 shanks, but I wouldn't count on it. The farmers aren't chisel plowing because your soil is really heavy. They are chiseling because it is 2013. :lol:
Rigid shanks have a shear bolt rather than a spring that resets them. Kevin B could plow all day and never think about a problem. People with hills and rocks wouldn't even think about buying one.
