Look for welds on the front end. There should be a small metal clip over the PTO lever shaped sort of like a key hole to hold it in gear. Tires and rims will cost about as much as the tractor is worth if needed. Over all they make a pretty good lawn mower for large yards and small garden work. Good Luck
