Well, in my humble opinion, if you have the mag, plugs, and carb right, she should start with just a quick up-pull. I have an F-14 with 5000 pistons in her, and she is NOT a treat to crank. My F-30 is a HA (High altitude), but I don't know whether the pistons are 5000 or 8000. I have no issues starting my F-30; although I don't have to sit there and spin it around either. 2 slow, easy revolutions with the choke on and mag off. then half choke, mag set, and shr usually fires on the first or 2nd pull. Always a 1/2 to 1/4 turn.
