Without coulters that plow will work but leave the furrow real "dirty". If you buy it you can look for coulters and brackets so you can do a better job of plowing, and those are available if you keep looking.

If the hitch mechanism does not work spray it with a good oil penetrator and keep trying to make the parts move...it should come loose and be a good hitch.
