If it works ok cold, I would say the drop check poppet is sticking due to a swelling o-ring. They usually get the hiccups also when they have this problem, meaning they will leak back down a little and correct them selves over and over. Unfortunately it requires a complete removal of rear cover and draft control valve. As for adjustments, there is a whole procedure that needs to be followed and is explained clearly in the service manual. So many are totally out of adjustment at this stage of the game from various tinkering over the years.
