Well I think the rotor button is ok. Just a grayish/white film around it. It may have been there from another time. Since the points are not black and are still shinny do I need new ones, or should I just try the resistor first. After I tried all this I read the discussion you and Bob M had on the resistors. Probably should've read it sooner. Thanks for all of your advice. This discussion board is packed with guys who know what they're doin'. Thanks again,
