The fast hitch is approximately the same width as the 3 point category 1 but uses category 2 size pins. I bought a category 1 one piece quick hitch to use for 3pt implements. (I had to weld brackets on the quick hitch with the holes approximately 5" on center from the original holes). I later found an IHC fast hitch to 3pt conversion and that will adjust to different 3pt widths. The 3 piece "quick hitches" come in either size, the category 1 are the straight type and the category 2 are the offset type.
