Except that you know what you have now, you don't know what you have in another one until you have used it some. As Jim says, you will get nowhere trying to fix one up to sell. Restored tractors are usually worth more than the same tractor unrestored, but those who try to make money with restored tractors are usually further in the hole because of the restoration cost. There are exceptions but due to the number built the SM isn't one of them.
