Something wrong! I have a 1950 C and it steers very easy. This in spite of the fact that I have a problem with the front bolster that holds the steering gear which is makeing a lot of play in eht steering. I'll ditto the suggestion of TomH to jack it up and see if it turns easier with no weight on the wheels. Then you should be able to isolate the problem.
