Thanks Bernard, for now all seems fine, after standing overnight the hydraulics all worked fine this morning, loader, 3 point linkage, steering and brakes all fine. I guess I cleared some crud out when blowing through and the jumpy hydraulics was just air in the system from having the valve out. I'll bear your comments in mind should I have problems again.
