Tyler, Recommend you have the starter checked for an internal short. Also, make sure that the ammeter post is not touching the mounting bracket. Should have a plastic grommet of sorts that the post goes through keeping the post "above ground" and the wire terminal end should also only touch the post not the bracket. I would suspect the starter.//FB
