If the blade bolt have left hand threads, you have a left hand mower and the blades should rotate counter clockwise. If the blade bolts have right hand threads, then the mower is a right hand and you have the wrong blades. I think the LH would be the normal mower for a C. Go to the Woods website. The manuals are on there for free and you can print them. There will be instructions for installing the belt. I'm not familiar with the woods on the C, but have used a woods on a 140 for years. It's possible to get the belt on wrong and end up with wrong rotation. Did that once and the bolt on one blade unscrewed. Didn't mow worth a flip with the blades turning backwards! From your photos, it looks like your mower has yellow paint which would indicate a right hand mower. The left hand mowers are white.
