Yea, I have to agree with Red Raider. Kinda cramped under the Cub hood and why bother. The conversion will cost as much or more than getting the original system working. A flashlight battery will start a Cub (and the other small Farmalls)if they are working right. Maybe on an M or Super M 12v might help. I had two Super H's on 6v and they would start anytime. Same for my Super C, Super A and Cub. My Super M was converted to 12v by previous owner. Only thing is the 6v system needs to be well maintained. Good clean electrical connections at all terminals, good insulation on wires etc. I think 12v conversion will devalue it to a restorer or collector. Might not matter to someone who was going to work it some. There, starting is probably more important but a Cub will start on 6v. If it's gone 50 years starting on 6v well.....that's 2 cents
