I'm trying to get my H running to fix a driveway for the weekend. I bought a new battery for it (battery reads 6 volts) but I have nothing when I hit the starter switch. I cleaned up all connections still nothing. I pulled the starter switch off thinking maybe it was bad but it seams to work. So I cleaned it up and put it back on and still nothing. I was getting frustrated so I hooked jumper cables up off my pickup to the battery side of the starter switch to see what would happen and it started right up and ran great. But as soon as I removed the cables it would die. Does anyone have any ideas, suggestions, thoughts? I would really appreciate some help.
