When I brought home one of my super A's the first thing I did was change the oil and filter. It too was and had been neglected in this regard. While I had the filter out I always examine the long bolt that holds the housing down to make sure dirt or sludge had not plugged it up. You can imagine my surprise when I discovered that the hole the oil travels through had not been completely drilled through from the factory! All those years the filter was unable to do its job as designed. I finished drilling the hole out and she's running fine. That tells me how tuff and well built these old tractors are. Now if I can only tighten the steering up. My next progect.

Today's Featured Article - Tractor Traction - by Chris Pratt. Our first bout with traction problems came when cultivatin with our Massey-Harris Pony. Up till then, this tractor had been running a corn grinder and pulling a trailer. It had new unfilled rear tires and no wheel weights.
