try holding the hydro lever toward the steering wheel. the side to side adjustment of the slot the lever follows is sensitive and can give the symptoms you describe, especially if the cowl is cracked or loose. I have had that happen to mine. there is a little adjustment to the track the lever follows, in the metal guide bolted to the fiberglass. or you may need to readjust the whole cowl. when the tractor stops moving, your first reaction is to grab the hydro lever (pulling it inward), which can make the tractor jump forward if the slot adjustment is off.
