Well, on my C with Carter Carb, I had trouble with it flooding. Gas would run out the drainage hole in the air line, and the tractor would hardly run. I thought the float was sticking, but apparently it was the float set too high and not shutting off the gas. I did not know where it was supposed to be set, so I guessed. Don't have a measurement, but I set it by bending the tab on the float that pushes up the needle valve so the float only had to move a small amount to close the needle valve. Now the tractor runs great and does not flood or leak any gas, although I still shut the gas off when it's in the shed.
