The contenental engine is basically an orphan and used for one year in the F-350 and 350U. I have experience working with and around a 350U. They run on 3/4 of the fuel of a gas 350 per unit of work. they make 95% of the power when new compared to a gas. The engine uses a manifold intake heater system to prewarm the starting air. It is pretty much ineffective, I will say it is an ether start tractor. They are great engines other than that. The parts are generally not available. and when found or made, expensive. If it has good compression, and a good pump, and good oil pressure it will be fine. For any non running 350D tractor, scrap price is about all that I would give unless there was way good reason to believe the engine could be brought to life as it is, or a different good engine was available.
