Yes you can make a resitor coil. The best wire to use would be a mig welding wire, wrap around a piece of 1/2 round stock to make the coil .fasten the coil to the switch assy.THIS IS ONLY A QUICK FIX THE WIRE WILL NOT LAST VERY LONG, I WOULD USE THE LIGHTS ON THE BRIGHT SETTING TO TRY TO SAVE THE HOME MADE COIL.
