I have a wagner hoe on a 300u. the swing cyl. were rebuilt at a local hyd. shop (snow plows etc). They should be done as a pair, so they hold the boom firm when moving the tractor, there is alot of weight hanging back there. I needed new chrome rods which up the price. One of my boom cyls also was done and the bore was also scratched (scrap). The cyl was custom made from scratch, all but the clevis, rod end and glands were made new. That hurt the wallet bigtime. So a $100 reseal + new rod(if you need them) could be in the $100-300 range each. The 4 ft stroke cyl. custom made was $800. So be prepaired $200-$600 a pair. One more piece of advice is: the big cyl was taken to a cheaper shop and they said the bore was ok- be carefull- they don't care if the seal wears out in a short time. I need to do some more cyls- they should last 20-30 years- so do it right the first time.
