Sharkey, Not sure if I understand what you're asking. If you're wanting to remove the whole assembly (Tank, hood, & grill) so you can work on the engine you'll have to rig up a small pony gas tank to hang up on the steering wheel or somewhere with a plastic fuel line to the carb. I rigged up an old lawn mower gas tank with a hanger and it works slick. The Cubs design was really lacking and not very user friendly when it comes to working on the engine of a running tractor.
