On my A the steering arm that attaches to the output shaft of the steering assy was loose. I tightened it up and that took most of the looseness out. I also replaced the bearings inside the steering assy. That also made a big difference. Unless it was run without grease, the gears may not be too bad. I also priced the gears and I could have bought another A cheaper. I have not checked with a gear cutting company to see if they could rebuild the gears reasonable, as I was at a gear cutting company recently and saw them rebuilding gears for equipment. Roger
