It will all depend on where you pull it. Rules are different everywhere. There are guys out there who replicate parts with aluminum to get the weight down. A SM is not such a good choice. The gearing will be too fast. If you power it up and run against a pace tractor, you will constantly be fighting it. You wioll find yourself breaking traction by moving the throttle a lot. I started with a SM and it simply died like a dog when the sled hit it. My M with the slow 1st gear pulled much better, but hitching is really important. You need power, but not as much as you think.
