I am asked this question often by the collector car guys who store their cars over winter. My take is, put it away with clean oil and new filter , then you wont have the acids and by products of combustion in there all winter. The most that will happen over winter is some water condensation which will quickly be evaporated out when you run it again in the spring. I think doing it twice is not necessary. IMHO
