When I stuck a bent over steel fence post through my 300 U oil pan and heard the awful noise of the crankshaft hitting the impaling fence post, I got a "new" pan from the salvage yard. It was yellow and fit just fine. I believe it was from an industrial 300, but just maybe a standard 300 U originally sold to a county as a mowing tractor. For sure, the pan was yellow with no red paint beneath.
