Got the tractor to shut off (thanks old f20). The tractor still has some issues though. It runs best when the spark advance is severely retarded almost to the point of grounding. Advancing it much more, it runs worse. I know it needs carb work. I let the tractor run with the mag advance cover off and spark was sometimes orange and jumping sideways out from the points, and sometimes it was blue. How would I go about actually adjusting the timing. I have done many distributors, but never a mag. I believe it is an ihc f4 mag. I set the points at .13 at the widest point. Anyone know there I can get a new cap. Thanks again guys.
