I pulled the governor off my Super C this weekend and have some questions. The pinion has a pin sticking out of it with a spring inside of it. I understand what it is for, but how does it come apart? Mine has no movement in either end. The thrust bearing was junk, it is missing one of the balls. Has anyone every gotten one of these from someone else besides Case? They have them, but want $30.00 each. I also think I will take Gene's? advise and bore the throttle arm shaft out where it goes thru the case and put a bushing in it. It is really sloppy. The carb arm has a felt sealing ring on it. I am going to look for a regular seal to replace it. I have the felt seal, but the metal cap the holds it in is in bad shape. It is almost rusted in too.
