First 400 with what most call a LP head was serial 28211. Before that the same head casting that was used as the gas tractors. To ID a late 400 or a 450 LP head, look to left and click on parts and pieces. Then put LP head in the search box. Find the picture of a 450 LP head. Look how its made above the intake and exhaust ports. Lot different than the other heads. Should at least have a letter after the engine serial number if it came LP.
