Like RB I like to check the oil each time and be sure it is at the top plug - if not I add either Marvel Mystery Oil or the regular oil I use, alternating each time. Figure the oils are cheap and being a 50+ year old engine that at times I put to heavy work, to me I feel better.
I also add the marvel mystery to the gas also.
