The starter should have a mechanical (saddle) switch on the top side of the motor. It is just a heavy current momentary contact switch. Normally there is a actuating rod from the platform to the switch to make contact. Seats are often found on Ebay. Putting an ad in the classifieds (to the left also works wonders. Seats can be reupholstered in reproduction cloth to be very original. Go to caseih.com Select your country, select parts at the top menu bar, scroll down to find the case IH parts store. select find parts by model, then a second find by model button in the center of the page, then select the icon with the small magnifying glass , which is next to the browse button. then put in Farmall. neither an A nor a B have illustrations of the switch and rod, but there is one for a C Farmall, so select C. Then select electrical System. There will be a image of the Rod controlled starter. Some are pull rods like that one, some are push rods. If your saddle switch is push, it will need 1/4 inch rod to make it. if pull, 3/16 rod will work. You might find one on line as well. Best of luck, Jim
