If the engine continues to run with the clutch pedal up I would think you could try idling the engine with the tractor in gear and see if you can kill it with the brakes. If the brakes have no effect on the engine then you know the bull pinions are not turning and the problem is ahead of them, in the differential or the transmission or the input shaft or the clutch. If the engine bogs down then that would tell you that the pinions are turning and the problem is somewhere in the final drives or axles. I think this should work but I may be wrong, if I am I hope someone will correct me. Zach
