I have an old MF 74 plough that is going to need some significant work soon and was wondering what used models are recommended if I decided to look for a replacement? I'm just playing so no serious use but a new model that would have better trash clearance would be nice as when it it used it will likely be to plough down old sod, weedy areas, etc.
Kverneland plows are popular around here but too much $$ for me. I've only ever used a three point plough but a semi mount would be fine if a good one was located for a decent price. I guess, a good plough at a good price is more important than brand however an IH one would be nice.
My ground is fairly heavy clay so three bottoms is plenty. Rear tires are new Firestones and filled. Planning to add a couple front weights for ploughing as well.
