Kirk, As far as the water pump packing goes, get the diameter of the shaft and go to your local plumbing shop and ask for split flax pump shaft packing with the same id diameter as your shaft. I just got some split packing for my M's WP from Case/IH dealer, surely would think the W9's packing would still be available as well. Maybe you should check with Ken Updike at Carter and Gruenewalt @ (608)455-2411. As far as the lateral movement of the shaft I don't have an answer for you.//FB
