I've gotta agree with Wardner on this one...The most compelling reason to install the muffler is to preserve your hearing. If you opt not to install the muffler, go to a gun store and buy hearing protection of some description. My Cub doesn't assault the hearing too badly, but the Super H is a different matter. But then any noise of this type (esp high frequency) is detrimental to hearing. I'm trying to preserve as much of my limited hearing as possible and mufflers are pretty cheap insurance in that regard. Ok...dismount soap box.
