I have installed a rebuilt hydraulic pump on my 450 L.P. Everything checks out. Next, I plan on re-installing the Behlin power steering motor, and rebuilding it if necessary. My question: Is there any reason why I couldn't just re-install the Behlin motor and see what happens? It wasn't working when the tractor was last driven 25 years ago, but it turns freely, and the problem might have been the defective hydraulic pump, right? If it won't do the power assist thing after I crank it up and try it out, anybody know the best place to get a rebuild kit for the Behlin motor? Thanks.
