I helped a friend a couple of years ago on his farm for a weekend. He has three Ms that see daily duty, and on everyone of them he had attached a light piece of chain (think bathtub plug chain or something that lightweight) to the parking brake tab and then to the light bar. He left enough slack that the chain doesn't get tangled up in your boots and I never found it to be in the way. It worked great on every tractor he had it on.
