Lot here depends on location and need. WE have a lot of hobby farms in the area, (5-40 acres with a horse or 2) and the owners have been buying older tractors for years now keeping the prices way up. 3/350, 4/450, 4/560, 7/806, small Fords and AC D series have been very high. Now all of a sudden prices have tanked. Decent looking running tractors with good rubber at auction in Oct, all gas 1700-1750, 706 open station, 730 Case open station and a D17 AC open station with an all hydraulic loader. All 3 of those tractors would have brought at least 4K 2 years ago and more likely more. The hobby farmers for the most part are up here for weekends from the twin cities and they are being much more careful with thier money over the last several years. Those sized tractors are not in demand by the full time farmers here who are buying Magnums and 4X4's. Good running JD collector tractors were going for less that 1/2 what they had been several years ago. Guy got a JD LM and told me he almost bought a 2nd one but had promised his wife he was only buying one. She told him well you paid less than half what you we planning on spending you caould have gotten another.

I lived in Middletown, Maryland, which was about two and a half hrs away from the farm. During my summer vacations I would spend two weeks helping granddad Wilmer with his farming duties. Wilmer and his brother Weldon owned the Neff farm. Th
