The tractor had a flat so I could not test the trans for poping out of gear. Dont need a $500+ trans rebuild. The owner had pulled to start and I was setting on it messing with the trottle and it died and he didnt appear like he wanted to start it again. Im guessing that this tractor had a govenor and I was trying to get it to kick in. It had cultivators installed. It also had a sickle mower that had a piece of wood between the gear box and blades that was rotted in half. The gear box turned easy and appeared in good shape but I couldnt get the blades to move. also had a plow. I have read previous posts about making sure this stuff fit the tractor. The owner was a strange bird so I didnt think I was going to get to test everything the way I wanted, get it warm check all operations and check the hookup of the implements. I had stopped and looked at it one day and he told me if I bought it that day it would be $100 less. The next day when I went back and brought tools and a battery he told me it would have been $100 cheaper yesterday. I didnt buy it the second day and he told me that he wasnt pulling it out of there again. The second day I left telling him that I guess I'll come back when the price goes back down. I think it will sit where its at through the winter and if I decide to buy it I guess I can get it anytime. It was a $1000.

The garden was already sprouting when we hooked up the mid-mount shovel cultivators to the Pony. The seed bed was soft enough that the rear end would spin and slowly work its way to the downhill side of the gardens slight incline. From this, we learned our lesson sinc
